Candice & Charl, a lovely couple from Cape town, found us on the internet by chance.
They came to have a look and instantly fell in love with the farm. They even brought their "fur- kid" - a beautiful Rottweiler, along for a weekend away on the farm.
Their guest list of 35 , was the smallest wedding we have hosted. Yet the smaller the wedding the more intimate and special it is. It was a wonderful experience to see how each and every person present had been picked to share in the celebration and that they were all there because they are a special part of this couple's lives.
The decor was "enchanted forest " themed with hints of copper in the under plates , lanterns and candle holders. Lots of forest type greenery , logs, moss and delicate flowers were used to create the look and feel. It was all about fairlights, candles and nature.
Guests enjoyed wonderful cheese platters and cocktails for starters , a Delicious lamb spit for dinner and some of the best tasting cupcakes around for desert. These carrot cake cupcakes and wedding cake were made by the Groom's mother
The guests then all joined the couple for a farewell breakfast the next morning at the dam.
