Shireen & Nick
08 December 2018
Shireen and Nick came to see as through a recommendation of a family member who had visited us for a weekend away and saw our wedding venue. As soon as this down to earth couple came to see us they were already saying yes!

Planning process was smooth sailing and flowers were brought in for the special day from various family members.
This nature loving couple try do their bit for the environment by fostering animals from the wild that need to be rehabilitated. As a result even the two young mongooses they were looking after made it onto the farm for the wedding!

Decor for the day really popped against the natural rustic decor of the venue. Beautiful pink proteas and white accent flowers stood out beautifully against various rose gold elements. Hints of dusty pink were also found in the garland table runners, which tied in with the bridesmaid dresses and ceremony decor.

Being early December, we expected warm sunny weather. However unexpected rain was predicted. Alternative indoor ceremony plans were made but luckily the skies cleared and the couple were blessed with a cool and calm day for their outdoor ceremony. Guests enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere after the I do's , helping themselves to canapés and cocktails while playing a few lawn games.
This couple really were lucky. Not only was it supposed to rain but we had load shedding to deal with! Generators ready,
we waited for the lights to go out. Once again as luck would have it, the rest of the evening went on without a hitch and the power never went off.

For dinner everyone was treated to a DIY build- a - burger buffet. A full spread of gourmet burger toppings and sauces provided so that you could create your perfect burger combination.
For something sweet, there was delicious red velvet wedding cake and a DIY s'mores tower that guests could
roast over the bonfire.

The rest of the night was spent dancing away!
